Alexander Technique teacher 劳伦·希夫, born in Washington, D.C., teaches privately in New York City and Aspen, Colo. She has given presentations for the American Society for the Alexander Technique’s annual meetings. She was an invited guest speaker at the International Congress for the Alexander Technique in 2011. She has been a faculty member at the Aspen 音乐 Festival and School since 1993 and is a member of its board of directors. She has taught at the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie since 2012. She has taught master classes and been a guest artist faculty member for the New World Symphony, ACJW, 美国.S. Army Soldier’s Chorus, the San Diego Symphony, the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artists Development Program, Anna Deavere Smith Projects, and Theater Aspen. Schiff received her bachelor’s degree in trumpet performance from Northwestern University and her master’s degree in trumpet performance from Manhattan School of 音乐. She is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique by the American Center for the Alexander Technique (ACAT) and the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). Schiff completed her graduate studies at the Constructive Teaching Centre in London with Walter and Dilys Carrington. She has been a Juilliard faculty member since 1991.
